About e-casebook

  • Does it cost anything to use e-casebook?

    No. e-casebook can be used free of charge.
    However, there are situations in which a fee will be charged to use the forum. For more details about fees, how to join, and payment methods, please view the information on each forum.

  • Can medical personnel who are not medical doctors register and use e-casebook?

    Yes. Medical personnel who are not medical doctors can register and use it.
    However, in principle, it is a service for doctors, so there are some restrictions

    • Live and video viewing is limited depending on the content.
    • There is no limit to your participation in the forum, but approval is at the discretion of the Chairperson.
  • What is the system requirements for using e-casebook?

    The operating environment is as follows.
    Windows 10 or later
    (Edge Latest, Google Chrome Latest, Firefox Latest)
    macOS 12 or later
    (Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge)

  • What are account types and license keys?

    Three types of e-casebook accounts are available. Depending on the type, there are some restrictions on viewing.

About Registration and account information

  • How do I complete a definitive registration from a provisional registration?

    Log in from the link in the e-mail sent to the address
    you registered at the time of provisional registration to complete the registration process.

  • I haven't received "the temporary registration confirmation email" when I made a new account.

    Please check the following if you haven't received the email.

    • Please check the setting of receiving limitation.

      Please allow the reception from the domain "@e-casebook.com".

    • The mail might be in the spam folder.

      Please make sure the email is not in the spam folder or the others.

  • What should I do if I want to cancel my membership (stop using the service) from e-casebook?

    To cancel your membership from e-casebook, please follow the steps below.

    1. Login to e-casebook.com with the account you want to cancel.
    2. Move the cursor over your name in the upper right corner of the screen.
    3. Click on "My Page" in the menu that appears.
    4. Click the "Cancel" button from the list.
    5. Please read and understand the following instructions before submitting your request.

    Notes on Cancellation of Membership

    Once you cancel your membership from e-casebook, all services will no longer be available.

    Also, once you cancel your membership, your information will not be restored for any reason.

    Please understand this in advance.

    ● Live Streaming and Video Viewing

    All live and video viewings will be unavailable and live viewing reservations will be cancelled.

    ● Have registered for a conference or other event (if you are attending via e-casebook)

    You will not be able to participate on the day of the event.

    Please note that the registration fee cannot be refunded.

    ● Have applied for credits at a conference, etc. (when attending via e-casebook)

    If you cancel your membership before the credits are granted, the credits will not be granted properly.

    Please confirm that the credits have been granted, since the timing for granting credits differs depending on the conference.

    Please contact the secretariat of the relevant conference to confirm the progress of credits.

    ● Receipts and participation certificates

    All receipts and participation certificates will no longer be provided.

    ● Participating in a Forum or Group

    You will no longer be able to view all posts and your uploaded data will be deleted.

    ● Participation in training

    You will no longer have access to the page, and any data you have submitted will be deleted.

  • What should I do if I want to change my password?

    2. Click on your name on the top right corner of the page.
    3. Click "My Page".

  • What should I do if I want to change the frequency of receiving notification emails that are delivered for every comment?

    To change the frequency of receiving notification emails, please follow the steps below.

    1. Login to e-casebook with the account you wish to change the frequency of receiving notification emails.
    2. Move the mouse cursor over your name on the top right corner of the page.
    3. Click "My Page".

  • What is "Time Shift Viewing"

    "Time Shift Viewing" is a function that allows you to view the distributed video from anywhere you like when you access it during LIVE distribution.

    *There is a case that "Time Shift Viewing" does not work well in full screen state on iPhone. In this case, try the following.

    1. Stops playback and cancels the full-screen status.
    2. Use the bar at the bottom of the movie to adjust the playback start position while the movie is stopped.
    3. Playback "Time Shift Viewing" from the selected location to full screen.
  • I can not play the movie.

    If you can not play the movie, please try the following.

    • If you have many browser tabs open, try to close most of them except the one you’re using for e-casebook.
    • Reload the page.
    • Restart your browser.
    • Clear your browser cache.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Restart your router or modem.
    • Try on another network.
      (Recommended line speed: A stable line capable of maintaining a speed of 5 Mbps or higher downstream.)
    *For Windows 7 users
    e-casebook supports Windows 8.1 and later. It may not play in Internet Explorer on Windows 7.

  • Video viewing logs are not logged properly.

    If the viewing log recording fails, please try the following.

  • How do I switch the display language?

    e-casebook is available in both Japanese and English.
    To switch the display language, please change the language setting of your browser.

About Issuance of various documents

  • How do I get a receipt?

    To issue a receipt, please follow the steps below.

    1. Login to e-casebook.
    2. Move the mouse cursor over your name on the top right corner of the page.
    3. Click "My Page".
    4. Click "Receipt Issue" in the list.
    5. Click "Issue" for the appropriate list.
    *The name and affiliation registered in the e-casebook will be used for the address.
    *Issuance period is within one year from the settlement date.
    *Reissue is not possible.
    *If you cannot issue, check the System Requirements.

  • How do I get a certificate of participation when I attend a conference?

    To issue a receipt, please follow the steps below.

    1. Access the appropriate conference page.
    2. Login to e-casebook.
    3. Click “Issue” in the “参加証の発⾏” field.
    *The name and affiliation registered in the e-casebook will be used for the address.
    *Issuance period is within one year from the settlement date.

  • Can’t download receipts and participation of certificates.

  • Why do I need an e-casebook account to attend conferences?

    The following correspondence requires an e-casebook account.

  • How do I redeem a coupon at a conference or association?

    Click on the "Apply" button and select "Use Coupon" as your payment method.

  • I can’t find the forum/group/training I am participating in.
    1. Log in to e-casebook.
    2. Click on your name on the top right corner of the page.
    3. Click "My Page".
    4. Click "Participating Forums/Groups" in the list.
